WALDOBORO — The second-seeded Medomak girls soccer team hosted third-seeded Oceanside in a Busline League middle school girls soccer semifinal contest Wednesday, Oct. 20 in Waldoboro.
The scoring began when Scarlett Flint found the back of the net after two minutes of action to give Medomak an early 1-0 advantage.
Three minutes later, Flint found the net again giving Medomak the lead 2-0.
About six minutes later, Flint found the net for the third time to provide Medomak a 3-0 lead heading into the halftime pause.
“There was a lot of great play and action for Medomak,” said Medomak coach Andrea Williamson. “There were give and go passes, there were overlaps, lots of great soccer.”
Haylee Chandler found the net in the second half for Medomak about five minutes in to seal the victory for Medomak at 4-0.
The Riverhawks advance to the league championship contest Saturday, Oct. 23 at Point Lookout in Northport at 10 a.m.
