Bryce Molloy, obituary
SOUTH THOMASTON — Bryce Molloy, 72, a devoted husband, father, mentor, and accomplished businessman, passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at Maine Medical Center in Portland, leaving behind the legacy of a life well lived. He was a man defined not only by his professional success but by his deep love of the outdoors, his curiosity, and his lifelong commitment to both teaching and learning.
A respected and successful businessman, Bryce approached his work with integrity, determination, and a thoughtful, unique leadership. In his later working years, he was known as a generous teacher, always willing to share hard-earned knowledge while remaining an eager student himself.
Outside of work, Bryce felt most at home outside. He embraced the outdoors in all its forms, including camping in freezing temperatures, fishing quiet waters, and spending days outside. These moments were more than just hobbies; they were expressions of his character—patient, resilient, reflective, and deeply appreciative of the lessons nature provided. He shared these values with his family, teaching them to find profound joy in simple, meaningful experiences.
Above all else, Bryce cherished his family. He shared nearly 47 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Gail, a partnership marked by love, loyalty, and mutual respect. He was a proud father to Christopher and Robert, whom he taught by example through his work ethic, his curiosity, and his unwavering presence. His greatest legacy lives on through them and the many people he guided, inspired, and encouraged throughout his journey. Bryce also leaves behind four loving grandchildren: Norah, Eoin, Cooper, and Finley. He was predeceased by his parents, Jim and Claire.
Bryce will be remembered for his wisdom, his unique sense of humor, his quiet strength, and his ability to make others feel capable and valued. His life leaves a lasting imprint-outdoors, in the workplace, and the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. It will not be forgotten whom he loved.
