International Women's Day celebrated with night of poetry

The Peace and Justice Group of Waldo County will celebrate International Women's Day on March 19, 2025, at 6 p.m., at the Belfast Free Library, with a night of poetry celebrating the strength and resistance of women worldwide.
"Gather to share original work and/or poems that fill your heart, sustain our courage," said the group, in a news release.
Join local poets Karin Spitfire, Meredith Bruskin, Carolyn Locke, Kathryn Robyn, Barbaria Maria and others.
"Nourish the resistance, Nourish ourselves!" said the group.
Free and open to all.
