Teagan R. Cottle, obituary
THOMASTON — It is with profound heartbreak that the family of Teagan R. Cottle announces his unexpected passing on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at the age of 18.
Born in Rockport, Teagan was the son of Erica Cottle and Michael Adams. He attended Oceanside Schools and was finishing his senior year at Oceanside High School.
Teagan had a quiet, stoic nature and a deep love for the outdoors. Whether he was spending time in the woods, cutting trees, splitting wood, or helping friends and neighbors with odd jobs, he was most at home when he was busy with his hands. He loved playing video games and cherished the time he spent with his Uncle Ben. Weekends, as they say, were for the boys, and Teagan could often be found in his dad's shop, working alongside him on cars.
Teagan's pride and joy was his truck. No matter what anyone else had to say about its condition, he poured his heart and soul into keeping it running.
When he wasn't working, Teagan could be found curled up with his beloved cat, Bootsy.
Predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Carl Adams, Sr.; Teagan is survived by his mother, Erica Cottle of Thomaston; his father, Michael Adams of Friendship; his siblings, Tucker Adams, Trenton Adams, Aydan Adams, Mac Burridge; his maternal grandparents, Beverly and Raymond Emerson of St. George; his paternal grandmother, Cindy Shute of Friendship; his aunts, Jessie Rhode and her husband Abe of Rockland, Nicole Cottle of Baldwin, Dana Adams and her husband Chris Cole of North Anson, Dawn Gauthier and her husband Craig of St. George, his ‘Tauntie’ Rayanne Emerson and her spouse Katie Gustafson-Walvatne of St. George; his uncles, Joshua Cottle of Minot, Carl Adams, Jr. of Thomaston, Ben Caron of St. George, Brandon Leppanen and his wife Cat of South Thomaston; and many beloved cousins.
