Rusty Hinges in concert to benefit the Sail, Power, & Steam Museum
The Rusty Hinges band will be on stage at the Sail, Power, & Steam Museum (SPSM) for a benefit concert, Friday, July 10, 2026 at 7 p.m. Rusty Hinges’ appearance is part of the 2026 SPSM Summer Concert Series at the Sail, Power, &
Steam Museum, which is located at the Old Snow Shipyard, 75 Mechanic Street, Rockland.
The Rusty Hinges are a popular band based in Midcoast Maine who play an eclectic repertoire, ranging from classic rock to country, bluegrass to the blues, folk to oldies-but-goodies – all on this special night to benefit the Sail, Power, & Steam Museum and its important programs.
The band is particularly special to SPSM, as they are the ‘house band.’ Over many years, they have played for thousands of appreciative passengers from the American Cruise Lines who call Rockland their port ‘o’ call and come ashore to enjoy weekly lobster bakes under SPSM’s big tent.
Band members are Nancy Bridges (guitar, fiddle, penny whistle, vocals), Frank Bedell (bass, resonator guitar, vocals), John Couch (guitar, harmonica, vocals), John Monterisi (guitar, vocals), Peter Saladino (bass, piano, vocals), and Dan Townsend (drums, guitar, vocals). All are well known to local audiences for their engaging performance style and vocal/instrumental arrangements.
Based out of Lincoln County, Rusty Hinges plays regularly at community events, farm preserves, and local cideries around the Midcoast region. With music that’s fun and never stuffy, hanging out with, and listening to the Rusty Hinges band, is like sitting together with friends over a few special beverages and enjoying the best of American musical traditions.

Don’t miss this special benefit event, where guests will be surrounded by a creative mix of music, song, verse, dance, community fun, and laughter. This event features open seating with suggested donation of $20.
