Sunday Tidbit: God’s Saving Grace

When we think of God’s saving grace, we often associate it with salvation. While that’s true, God’s grace reaches into every part of our lives. Many Biblical stories depict divine intervention that saved lives. For example, when Apostle Paul was sailing to Rome, a storm arose. After many days, the crew's hope of survival was gone. Paul then stood up, encouraged the crew to be brave, and shared that no one would be lost: “For there stood by me this night, an angel of God, whose I am and whom I serve” (Acts 27:23).

Following Paul’s inspired instructions, all lives were saved as the crew swam to shore.

On March 4th, 2026, I was scheduled to travel to Pakistan for another 28 days. Having experienced the "Awakening Anointing” during my last visit, I was eager to see the Lord move in power again. I love witnessing lives healed and transformed by the Spirit's power. This trip was previously confirmed, my wife was at peace, and everything was in place.

Then the war broke out between Iran, Israel, and the US. Feeling a strong presence of the Holy Spirit resting upon me, I was confident the Lord was with me. That is, until the day before I was supposed to leave. I was driving home when the wind shifted. No longer did I feel the Spirit of the Lord. I then heard the Lord say, “Cancel the trip.” Heartbroken, I did.

Some friends are in Pakistan and doing well. Although I will follow where the Lord leads, something has changed. This was confirmed by a friend who heard the same thing from the Lord. It’s not clear what changed, but one thing is certain: the Lord intervened to keep me safe.

There have been many times when the Lord has saved me from certain death. The Lord was with me in Vietnam, guiding me to walk in the right places as I led a company of Marines through enemy-occupied territory. Once, I was supernaturally saved from being burned alive in a house fire. Another time, I was directed to turn off the road just in time, which prevented me from being crushed between two cars. Once, an angel kept me safe from being run over by an excavator. His saving grace has intervened many times in many ways.

Psalms 32:8 promises divine guidance, illustrating that believers are led by their close relationship with the Lord, who said, “I will guide you with my eyes.” God constantly watches, instructs, counsels, and guards each person’s life, helping keep them on the right path. We just need to stay close enough to hear His voice when He speaks to us.

In this Sunday’s tidbits, I will share about God’s saving grace, which has saved my life multiple times and brought healing through supernatural intervention. To God be the glory, honor, and power, now and forever.

 In His love and grace,
