Belfast Police beat

    BELFAST — Belfast Police reported two traffic infractions June 5-25, for operating after suspension and an inspection sticker violation. In addition to the two traffic citations, the following activity was reported. 

    An arrest or summons does not constitute a conviction, and those charged are considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. Juveniles aged 17-or-younger are not named.

    June 5

    Nicholas R. Chesser, 25, of Belfast, was arrested for violating a condition of release on Front Street. 

    June 13

    Raymond J. Sweeney, 75, of Northport, was issued a summons for theft by unauthorized taking or transfer on Starrett Drive. Sweeney was also issued summonses June 18 for two counts of theft by unauthorized taking or transfer on Starrett drive.

    June 17

    Kelvin Chapman, 56, of Cushing, was issued a summons for operating after suspension on Main Street in Belfast. 

    June 22

    Imma Thomas, 22, of Monroe, was arrested for probation revocation.
