Megunticook Rowing has a great summer lined up for everyone age 12-100 no matter your skill level, goals or schedule. We have recruited an amazing coaching staff for the summer. Seriously, there has never been a better time to get back into, or pick up the sport with Megunticook Rowing.
Coaching
Head Coach Bob Van Twyver made it through his first Maine winter and is happy to have us out of the Y, off the ergs and on the water. He is joined by returning coaches, Iselin Bratz, Devin Guptill, Cabot Adams and Connor Howland. New to our coaching scene but not the rowing world is Alexander Hedge. A graduate of Columbia University where he rowed all four years. He went on to row in 2 seat in the US Rowing eight that set the course record at the Head of the Charles in 2022. In 2023 he rowed for the United States at the 2023 World Rowing Championships in Belgrade and finished 6th in the Men's eight. We are super excited to have this exceptional lineup of coaches!
Learn to Row
Never picked up an oar or it's been a long while since you picked up an oar? This four-session program is the ticket. After completing the program your club membership for the first year is only $75. As a member, you can join any of the summer programs. The first Learn to Row starts June 6th. All sessions run 8-10am.
