Searsport, Lincolnville split season openers

SEARSPORT — The Searsport and Lincolnville middle school boys and girls basketball programs opened the Busline League regular season Monday, Dec. 6 in Searsport.
The results saw the two schools splitting the wins as the Lincolnville girls and the Searsport boys kicked off their respective seasons with a victory.
In the girls contest won by Lincolnville 54-25, Natalie Buldoc tallied 19 points for the visiting Lynx while Maren Johnson scored 18 and Liana Talty recorded 12.
In the boys contest won by Searsport 61-51, Thomas Leadbetter recorded 17 points for Lincolnville while Liam Day-Lynch scored 12 and and Mickey Nowell contributed seven.
