GLENBURN — The Medomak Valley 11/12 Little League softball all-star team was eliminated from the state tournament Friday, July 12 in Glenburn. 

After opening the tournament with a 1-1 record, the local squad was eliminated following a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Hermon. 

Hermon plated a run in each the first and fourth innings. 

Medomak scored its lone run in the sixth frame. 

Pitching for Medomak Valley was Kytana Williamson (six strikeouts, walk, three hit-by-pitch). 

In the pitching circle for Hermon was Kate Fowler (eight strikeouts, five walks).  

At the plate for Medomak Valley were Hope Mason: (single), Haley Puchalski (single) and Kendall Simmons (RBI). 

At the plate for Hermon were Olivia Johnston (single) and Fowler (RBI). 

Hermon was later defeated in the state championship game by Windham after knocking off Kennebunk-Wells in the semifinals. 

Medomak Valley opened the state tournament with a 9-0 loss to Windham before topping Ellsworth 19-8.
