LEWISTON — The Medomak Valley 11/12 Little League all-star baseball team traveled to Lewiston to participate in the state tournament being played July 20-26. 

Participating in the double-elimination tournament are Machias (District 1), Medomak Valley (District 2), Bronco (District 3), York (District 4), Lewiston (District 5) and Cumberland-North Yarmouth (District 6). 

The tournament’s champion advances to the regional tournament Aug. 4-10 in Bristol, Connecticut. 

Medomak Valley opened the state tournament July 20 with a 12-2 loss at the hands of Cumberland-North Yarmouth. 

In its next game, Medomak Valley fell 7-2 against Bronco July 22 and was eliminated from the tournament.
