WALDOBORO — The Medomak Middle School girls soccer team collected a home victory Friday, Sept. 24 against Woolwich.

The scoring began less than three minutes into the contest when Grace Townsend scored for Medomak, and occurred again when she scored once more less than two minutes later.

Four minutes later, Scarlett Flint extended the Medomak lead to 3-0, and a minute later the advantage became 4-0 when Haylee Chandler tallied another goal.

One minute later, Summer Staples tallied a goal for the Riverhawks to make it a 5-0 contest.

In the second half, Townsend recorded a hat trick with a third goal, an impressive feat accomplished in Townsend’s first middle school soccer game.

Seven minutes later, Flint tallied another goal to make it 7-0. About four minutes later, Flint scored her third goal, also successfully completing a hat trick.

The rain held off and despite some strong winds, Medomak was able to earn itself an 8-0 victory.
