State Representative Mike Ray announces October Office Hours
LINCOLNVILLE — Representative Mike Ray, D-Lincolnville, will hold constituent meetings in Morrill on Thursday, Oct. 2, from 5 - 7 p.m., at the Morrill Community Center. He plans on holding monthly meetings to have conversations with constituents about the work he is doing for the residents of House District 40 in the State Legislature.
“I feel that it’s very important for legislators to take time to have one-on-one conversations so they are truly accountable to the constituents that they represent,” said Ray. “My campaign was all about making sure the government is working for the people, and this is a great way to be out in the community. I aim to be as accessible as possible, and I want to be there so that our government is working for everyone in the district.”
Ray asks the residents of House District 40 (Appleton, Islesboro, Liberty, Lincolnville, Montville, Morrill and Searsmont.) to share issues and concerns that are affecting them and what he might be able to help with in the coming legislative session.
Mike Ray is serving his first term in Augusta. He serves on the legislature’s Transportation Committee.
In the coming weeks, Ray plans on scheduling additional constituent meetings in each town in the district.
