Lisa Tapken's culinary journey began almost 30 years ago on private sailing yachts.
As I traveled the world, tasting everything, I found my passion sourcing ingredients from local markets. I have eaten fermented shark in Iceland, trekked over mountains in Peru and sailed the Red Sea dragging a line for tuna. I have never stopped cooking and learning about flavors.
Since settling in Maine, I have owned a catering business, tested recipes for a best-selling cookbook author, learned the art of wine making (from pruning the vines to bottling the wine), prepared farm-to-table dinners for a renowned island farm and worked as a food stylist.
Everyone loves having people over but when you start considering all the shopping, the menu prep, the cooking, the cleaning… it really starts to add up. It’s a luxury to be able to leave it all up to the professionals but still enjoy a top-quality dining experience in the comfort of your own space.
