Alex C. Colson, obituary
ROCKLAND — Alex C. Colson, 38, died Friday, September 5, 2025 as the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Born in Rockport, August 1, 1987, Alex he was raised by his father, Timothy Colson, and two special ladies who were like his moms, Wendy Curtis and Kristen Baxter. He was educated in St. George Schools, and later earned his GED from Oceanside High School.
Although he earned his CDL License at one point, Alex was most comfortable and happiest while serving the public. Most recently he was proud to be the smiling, friendly face at the Lord Camden Inn where his attention to detail and vibrant personality shown through as he kept the lobby and breakfast nook stocked and ready.
Alex’s number one priority in his life was his family, especially his daughter, Peyton, who was his whole world. He loved making her happy. Together they took many road trips, with Six Flags and Salem, Massachusetts at Halloween being some of their favorites.
He had a creative side and loved making crafts with his ‘Cricket’ that he gave to friends and family as gifts. His collection of Harry Potter books and memorabilia was unrivaled, and his family remembers that ‘420’ was his favorite holiday.
Alex is survived by his mother, Cheryl Nash, and his family on her side: sisters, Jasmine and Samantha Nash; a brother, Bobby Plummer; his father and step-mother, Timothy Colson and his wife Kristin Baxter of Rockland; his daughter, Peyton Colson of Thomaston; his spouse, Tristan Korpinen of Warren; his brothers Ryan Colson of St. George, Daniel Baxter-Leahy and Patrick Baxter-Leahy both of Rockland; a sister, Lindsey Colson of Waldoboro; his paternal grandmother, Lois Wentworth of Rockland; as well as many aunts and uncles, a large extended family and numerous friends who loved him very much.
A graveside celebration of Alex’s life will be held Friday, September 26, 2025, at 11 a.m., at Achorn Cemetery, Rockland.
