Sagittarius Rising to perform at Belfast’s Underground Lounge
The Underground Lounge presents an evening of original music featuring folk duo Sagittarius Rising on Friday, Feb. 6. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the music starts at 7 p.m., at 17 Court Street.
Sagittarius Rising is the musical project of twin sisters Isabelle and Phoebe Rogers, originally from Western Maine. Together, they create uplifting, original music inspired by nature and imagination with vocal harmonies, guitar, penny whistle, and percussion, according to Underground Lounge, in a news release. "Their performances highlight thoughtful songwriting and the duo’s close musical connection."
In a 2023 interview on Mt. Blue Television’s “Adroit Artist,” Isabelle Rogers said, “A lot of our music is inspired by the momentum of positivity and trying to better change things. Music has a really powerful motive when it comes to creating justice or creating change or a different mindset.”
