Saturday, September 13, Rockland District Nursing Association (RDNA) will host their annual Basket Social, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Eliza Steele Memorial Garden (MacDougal Park, Rockland). At 10:30 a.m., Carolyn Rasmussen and Joni Hall will lead an adventure-filled storytime. All are invited to come along on their imaginary hike.

“We can’t go over it, We can’t go under it, Oh no! We’ve got to go through it!” said the RDNA news release.

For the less adventuresome, visit the curated garden bake sale with savory and sweet goods from bakers in the communities RDNA serves. A new addition this year are locally made dog treats.

Let’s talk district nursing at the RDNA tent. Raffle baskets return with generous donations from area businesses including overnight stays and local activities. Raffle tickets are 5 for $10, and will be sold the day of the event. Winners are not required to be present during the drawing.

All proceeds benefit RDNA, a 501(c)(3) organization. After 96 years, RDNA’s largest source of operating income remains community donations.
