It is hard to believe that summer is winding down and school is about to start! But it's true. Megunticook Rowing is ready to go with a terrific fall high school rowing program led by Head Coach Bob Van Twyver. Bob has thirty years of experience coaching high school, club and college programs. Cabot Adams, Will Schaetzke, Sam Abbott and Andy Obst will assist, giving us enough coaches to include Club members with these practices. Big news this year is that we moved regular season practices to the afternoon. Check out these dates!  This is the year to add rowing to your high school experience!

Important Dates:

• August 18 – Pre-season practices begin, 6-8:00 a.m., Monday-Friday at Barrett’s Cove.

• September 2 – Regular season begins with afternoon practices 3:45 – 6:15 p.m., Monday–Friday at Barrett’s Cove.

Tentative Varsity Race/Event Schedule:

• Megunticook Regatta September 6

• Other dates TBD and will include Cow Island, (Brunswick, ME) September 13; Textile (Lowell, MA.) October 5; New Hampshire State Championships, Oct. 12 (Pembroke, MA) and others.

Cost: $700 per rower for the fall season. Includes regatta fees, all training sessions, and year round membership to Megunticook Rowing giving rowers access to club equipment and programs during the summer. Does not include travel and accommodations expenses associated with regattas.Scholarships are available.
