Downtown Camden protest: Horns, voices, honks, signs and a steaming engine

CAMDEN — At 11:30 a.m., Jan. 30, approximately 300 protesters convened on the Village Green to vent their discontent with the current political climate in the U.S. Some stood in the middle of Route 1, halting traffic for a brief period of time before Camden Police Officers directed them to the sidewalk.
As the energy rose in downtown Camden, a car that had temporarily stopped at the intersection of Washington and Elm streets began to steam, as the radiator coincidentally malfunctioned.
Camden firefighters responded and the Dodge Durango's situation was promptly resolved with it being towed away by Camden Exxon.
The protest continued for approximately one hour. Temperatures hovered around 10 degrees F.
