Winter Artisan Fair at Rockland Elks Lodge, Feb. 7
A Winter Artisan Fair will be held Saturday, Feb. 7, from 2 - 7 p.m., at the Rockland Elks Lodge.
The Winter Artisan Fair is more than a marketplace, according to Jamie Spooner, in a news release.
"It’s a celebration of Midcoast Maine’s creativity, generosity, and sense of community," said Spooner. "Bringing together more than 30 Maine artisans, the event invites neighbors and visitors alike to slow down, connect, and enjoy the talents of makers from across the region."
According to Spooner, attendees can sample some of the freshest olive oil in the country, indulge in handcrafted chocolate truffles, explore botanical-inspired jewelry, and feel the warmth of true Maine blankets made from Saxon Merino sheep’s wool.
"From gourmet food purveyors to fine artists, the fair reflects the diverse skills and stories that make Midcoast Maine such a vibrant place to live," said Spooner.
Food is at the heart of the gathering, with featured dinner offerings from Chef Nate of Hot Hill Tavern in Thomaston. Known for his comforting dishes with bold flavor, Chef Nate draws on his Puerto Rican roots and signature sauces. He will be serving chili, gumbo, and a vegan rice bowl, along with a selection of his house-made hot sauces available to take home.
Live music will fill the hall throughout the afternoon, with Stephanie Ryann performing from 2 to 4:30 p.m., followed by Aiden KZ from 4:30 to 7 p.m.
The Elks Lodge will be open with beer, wine, mocktails, and more, and an ATM will be available on site.
A highlight of the event is the raffle room, featuring dozens of donated items from artisans and local businesses. Raffle proceeds will benefit AIO Food Pantry and Pope Memorial Humane Society, helping support neighbors and animals in need throughout the Midcoast.
