Community invited to Thomaston 250th Celebration Committee meeting
Planning continues for Thomaston’s 250th anniversary in 2027, and the next meeting of the Thomaston 250th Celebration Committee will be held Thursday, January 29, at 6 p.m.
The meeting will take place in the Lura Libby Room at the Thomaston Municipal Building, at 13 Valley Street.
This meeting is open to the public and welcomes anyone interested in learning more or getting involved. The primary focus of the meeting will be finalizing details for the 250th anniversary logo contest, discussing opportunities for involvement by community partners, developing a committee structure, and beginning to outline a potential schedule of events for 2027.
The Thomaston 250th Celebration Committee is an ad hoc committee authorized by the Select Board to plan and coordinate a yearlong series of events marking this milestone anniversary.
Community members with ideas, skills, or an interest in contributing to the celebration are encouraged to attend. Questions can be directed to Kendray Rodriguez, Community & Economic Development Coordinator, at krodriguez@thomastonmaine.gov.
