Robert E. Jordan, obituary
AUGUSTA — Robert “Bob” E. Jordan, age 90, died Thursday, August 27, 2026 at his home following a short illness. He was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts on March 31, 1936, a son of the late George E. Jordan and Elsie L. (Haines) Jordan Fullerton.
Mr. Jordan graduated from the University of Maine at Orono and was a member of the Second Congregational Church of Warren and, more recently attended South Parish Congregational Church UCC in Augusta.
He was a US Army veteran, serving from January of 1955 through December of 1957. His service included a posting at Gambell, Saint Lawrence Island, Alaska during the Korean War.
Mr. Jordan was a Mason, Shriner (Kora Temple), a member of the American Legion, and was a long time volunteer at Owls Head Transportation Museum.
He was predeceased by his wife of 69 years, Harlean E. (Sidelinger) Jordan; his parents; his step-father, Aubrey Fullerton; and a brother, John O. Fullerton.
Mr. Jordan is survived by a brother, Anthony G. Jordan of Augusta; he was Dad to Dawn, Donna (Ron), Timothy (Heidi) and Tamera (Dan); Bucky to grandchildren Jacob, Katrina, Emily (Joe) and Lilly (Joe) and great grandchildren Tanner and Jordan.
Relatives and friends may visit on Tuesday, September 8, from 2 - 4 p.m. and 6 - 8 p.m., at Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant St., Augusta, where members of the Masons are asked to meet at 5:45 p.m. to prepare for the Masonic Funeral Service.
Burial and committal prayers with military honors will be held Wednesday, September 9, at 2 p.m., at the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 163 Mt. Vernon Rd., Augusta.
