Reza Rahbar, MD. (Photo courtesy MaineHealth)ROCKPORT — MaineHealth Pen Bay Hospital welcomes Reza Rahbar, MD, to its Gastroenterology Rockport practice.
Dr. Rahbar comes to Pen Bay Hospital after spending the last six years as the medical director of colorectal surgery at UNC REX Hospital in Raleigh, North Carolina. Prior to that, he spent two years as section chief of colorectal surgery at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.
Dr. Rahbar completed his colon and rectal surgery fellowship at Louisiana State University in Shreveport, Louisiana in 2010, and completed his residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston in 2009. He earned his medical degree from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, in 2004 and holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina.
