Portland photographer Liv Moore at Gravedigger’s Daughter, Oct. 25
Portland-based Liv Moore brings lens-based work to Gravedigger’s Daughter this month with her first solo show, Trouble Box. An opening reception will be held Saturday, Oct. 25, from 3 - 6 p.m.
Moore’s work explores femininity and intimacy by challenging the conventional notion of love through the portraiture of her community. Her work is a celebration of resistance, capturing gestures of love in all its forms, while highlighting the ways in which queerness has always been a source of cultural revolution and beauty.
Liv Moore (she/her) received her Bachelor's in Fine Arts from Maine College of Art and Design. Moore has exhibited in venues including MECA, The Portland Symphony, 82Parris, and The Bakery Photo Collective. She’s received awards including the Dean’s Scholarship, the Abbagasset Foundation Grant, and is a two time recipient of the Irving B. Ellis and Judy Ellis Glickman Endowed Award.
Visit the Gallery on October 25 for an afternoon of local culture and meet emerging artists, collectors, and curators.
