Daniel Joseph Nodar, obituary
CAMDEN — Daniel Joseph Nodar, 29, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2025, in Camden, Maine.
Beloved son of Steve and Leigh (Barry) Nodar, Danny grew upin Towson and Monkton, Maryland, and later lived in Maine. Danny had a great love for music and was extremely talented as a musician and composer. Focusing mostly on the piano, he also had a knack for picking up any instrument and learning it within hours, including the guitar, harp, ukelele, violin, and banjo.
Danny was internet famous and touched many lives by his music, humor, and positivity. Many of his “potato family” fans expressed gratitude for helping them through difficult times in their lives. Danny was constantly working on his music and making videos, looking to bring joy and help people with anxiety. He thrived on making people happy by his creativity and sense of humor. He loved watching movies and was especially known for his countless rewatchings of The Office and Lord of the Rings.
Danny is survived by his parents and by his siblings, Elise, Tim, Michael, Joseph, Matthew, and Maria Grace.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Mary Nodar, Manny Nodar, Barbara “Put Put” Barry, and Martin “Skip” Barry; his godfather, Uncle Jeff Conover; and Uncle Bill Christensen.
A Memorial Mass will be held October 25, 2025, at 12 p.m., at Immaculate Conception Church, 200 Ware Avenue in Towson, Maryland. The Nodar family will receive friends at 11 a.m., before the service.
