THOMASTON — Thrive in Thomaston presents the fifth season of Music Behind the Block, a free, family-friendly outdoor concert series held Wednesday evenings from July 23 through August 20, from 6 to 7:30 p.m., on the lawn behind the Thomaston Municipal Building (13 Valley Street).

"This beloved summer tradition brings together community members of all ages to enjoy live music, local food trucks, lawn games, and a relaxed, welcoming vibe," said Thrive in Thomaston, in a news release.

Guests are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs and enjoy a picnic or grab dinner from a downtown restaurant or visiting food truck. The Here, Hold My Cone ice cream truck will be on-site each week serving up ice cream from Stone Fox Farm Creamery.

Thrive in Thomaston provides the following descriptions for this year’s lineup:

July 23 – The Sugar Snaps

An eight-piece soul, funk, and R&B band with a horn section, tight rhythm, and powerhouse vocals that will get the dance floor moving.

Food Truck: Shift Wood Fired Pizza

July 30 – 32 North

A high-vibe Americana band blending outlaw country, folk, rock, and original tunes.

Food Truck: Downtown Charcuterie

August 6 – Dark Rain

A high-energy hybrid of classic and modern rock with a focus on '80s and '90s hits.

Food Truck: ReggaeEats

August 13 – Rocky Coast String Band

A five-piece acoustic group offering a mix of bluegrass, folk, Americana, and blues.

Food Truck: Shift Wood Fired Pizza

August 20 – Groovetide

A five-piece jam band known for extended grooves, soulful improvisation, and classic crowd-pleasers.

Food Truck: ReggaeEats

Concerts take place on the lawn behind the Thomaston Municipal Building, with Watts Hall (174 Main Street) serving as the rain location. Admission is free.
