Rockland library celebrates Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) with Penobscot Bay Language School
Celebrate Día de los Muertos (The Day of the Dead) with Penobscot Bay Language School, Saturday, Nov. 1, from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., at Rockland Public Library.
Penobscot Bay Language School's Dia De Los Muertos sugar skull workshop event returns with other cultural activities related to this unique holiday celebrated throughout Mexico, Mesoamerica, and beyond.
The Día de los Muertos family event is for all ages. Families with young children are encouraged to participate. Decorate traditional sugar skulls and discuss the holiday’s origins and cultural significance worldwide.
Participants will learn traditional songs and stories (sing along and read aloud) in Spanish and English about this fun and meaningful holiday.
This event is free. No registration required.
The Rockland Public Library is located at 80 Union Street.
