Sunday Tidbit: The Grace for Change
I hear, “I am imparting the grace for change.” Being a Christian, we can always count on one thing- change. When Joshua was about to lead Israel into the Promise Land, the Lord told Him, “Moses my servant is dead?” In other words, “Joshua, you are now in charge with the responsibility to lead my people into the Promise Land. One day Moses is leading God’s people, the next day Moses is dead and Joshua has the responsibility. Change often comes quickly.
With the responsibility comes the grace for change. The Lord gave to Joshua the promised that He will be with Him. What more could he or anyone else ask for? This is the same promise we have today – The Lord your God is with you!
“Only have faith, be strong and have courage, be not afraid nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go” (Joshua 1:9).
In order to navigate through our season of change, we need wisdom. Wisdom is going to set the course of direction that is different from the one I am now taking. Wisdom demands that I adjust my lifestyle, my thinking, prayer and ambition in order to adjust to this new direction. A most exciting journey now lays before us.
Are you in the midst of change? Seek God’s wisdom, who gives liberally to those who ask of Him (James 1:56). Only fear not, be strong and courageous. Follow the direction the Lord gives to you and adjust your life according. In doing so you will find the grace that will make your way prosperous with good success (Joshua 1:8).
