Medomak girls soccer tops Troy Howard in Busline quarterfinals

WALDOBORO — The Medomak and Troy Howard middle school girls soccer teams met on the pitch in Waldoboro for a Busline League quarterfinal playoff game Thursday, Oct. 10. 

Courtesy a trio of goals, the third-seeded Riverhawks advanced to the semifinals with a 3-0 win over sixth-seeded Lions.  

Seven minutes into the contest, Kytana Williamson passed the ball to Acadia Dinsmore, who assisted Eliza Luce in finding the back of the net to put the hosts up 1-0.

Roughly 20 minutes later, Sara Nelson extended the lead to 2-0 off a Williamson assist. 

In the second half, Audrey Jackson found the back of the net with three minutes off the clock when Luce hit the cross bar on a long outside shot. 

Up next for the Riverhawks will be a Wednesday, Oct. 16 road contest against second-seeded Great Salt Bay.
