DAMARISCOTTA — The third-seeded Medomak Middle School girls soccer team hit the road to challenge second-seeded Great Salt Bay in a Busline League semifinal Wednesday, Oct. 16 in Damariscotta. 

In a hard-fought battle, the visiting Riverhawks were downed 1-0. 

At the halftime pause, the game remained scoreless. 

Great Salt Bay scored the game’s lone goal with 15 minutes remaining in the thriller. 

“[We] played a great game, worked hard and did not give up until the bitter end,” said Medomak coach Andrea Williamson.
