WALDOBORO — The Medomak eighth grade girls basketball team hosted Wiscasset for a Busline League showdown Monday, Jan. 13. 

By the end of the contest, Medomak had collected a 49-7 victory over the visitors. 

Scoring for Medomak were Kylie Blake (four points), Kaylee Kurr (two), Eliza Luce (five), Sara Nelson (10), Olivia Pelkey (12), Haley Puchalski (six), Eilee Stelzer (eight) and Mia Yeatts (two). 

Scoring for Wiscasset were Bella Orr (six points) and Makayla Hudson (one). 

“We came out strong,” said Medomak coach Celia Philbrick. “We moved the ball very well, our heads were up. We were looking for our shots and moving the ball quick. We had very good help side defense. We pushed the ball very well and we kept our heads up and made great passes.” 

The next game for Medomak will be a regular season finale contest at home Tuesday, Jan. 14 against Great Salt Bay.
