Medomak 7th girls basketball shoots past Troy Howard in semifinals

WALDOBORO — The Medomak and Troy Howard seventh grade girls basketball teams met on the hardwood in Waldoboro for a Busline League semifinal playoff contest Thursday, Jan. 23. 

Medomak held quarterly leads of 11-0, 22-8 and 30-11 en route to a 36-13 victory. 

Scoring for Medomak were Lilly Christ (four points, seven rebounds, two steals), Kytana Williamson (11 points, seven rebounds, three assists, five steals), Emma Haney (two points), Audrey Jackson (10 points, 13 rebounds, one assist, one steal, five blocks), Skylar Hills (two points, five rebounds) and Erica Waite (seven points, three rebounds, one steal, three assists). Other contributors were Paige Jarvis (one rebound, one steal), Sadie Knight (two assists, two steals) and Dakatah Brackett (one rebound). 

Scoring for Troy Howard were Payton Wadsworth (six points), Mya Oliphant (one), Laura Carpenter (two), Alana Nichols (two) and Jaliza Richards (two). 

With the win, Medomak advances to the championship game against Oceanside on Saturday, Jan. 25 at 9 a.m. at Oceanside High School in Rockland.
