Medomak 7th girls basketball bests Oceanside

THOMASTON — The Oceanside and Medomak seventh grade girls basketball teams met on the hardwood in Thomaston for a regular season finale Wednesday, Jan. 15. 

Oceanside held quarterly leads of 19-7 and 31-22 after the first and second quarters, respectively, before Medomak took a narrow 36-34 lead after the third quarter. 

Medomak posted a 51-40 victory after a strong fourth quarter. 

Scoring for Medomak were Sadie Knight (two points, four rebounds, two assists, three steals), Lilly Christ (five points, three rebounds, one steal), Kytana Williamson (23 points, four rebounds, four assists, five steals), Audrey Jackson (20 points, eight rebounds, seven blocks, two assists, two steals) and Skylar Hills (one point, three rebounds, four steals, two assists). 
 
Also contributing for Medomak were Dakotah Bracket (one steal), Emma Haney (one steal) and Erica Waite (one assist, one steal). 
 
Scoring for Oceanside were Lily Stackpole (five points), Ryley Beaudry (13), Kayla Baines (two), Bailey Breen (14), Lyliegh Reed (two), Alaywas Mardiessault (two) and Audrey Colby (two).
