The details of Maine Department of Transportation three-year infrastructure work plan have been announced for Waldo County. The plan is released annually with an outline of the Maine Department of Transportation’s strategy for road, bridge and other transportation upgrades and maintenance projects.

“I am glad to see so many important projects getting started this year,” said Sen. Curry. “While I am pleased to see these investments, I will continue to advocate for more attention to our essential rural roads that require far more work to bring them up to modern standards capable of withstanding the ever-increasing storms and floods.”

According to the MDOT, the work plan covers a historic $4.74 billion worth of construction and maintenance. This is thanks to a vital bipartisan investment approved in the Legislature last year. A more detailed breakdown of the statewide, three-year plan can be found here.
