Sunday, March 22, 2026 - 12:00 pm to 04:00 pmThe Camden-Rockport Historical Society (CRHS) invites the public to celebrate Maine Maple Sunday, March 22, from noon to 4 p.m. at the Museum and Homestead, 7 Commercial Street (Route 1), Rockport, across from Maritime Farms and next to Hannaford on the Camden-Rockport town line.
Join the celebration at the historic campus for a family-friendly afternoon dedicated to the warmth of community and the unique craft of maple sugaring.
Stepping onto the grounds is a journey back in time. Witness the entire process firsthand as Keryn Annis, a local expert, tends the Sugar Shack, transforming freshly collected sap into glorious, golden maple syrup. Get warmed near the boil and discover the secrets behind this classic New England ritual.
But the sweetness doesn’t stop at the syrup. Maine Maple Sunday at CRHS is a vibrant showcase of traditional local skills and community spirit. Immerse yourself in the following special features:

Blacksmithing Demonstration: Watch as skilled farrier Travis French transforms fiery iron into beautiful horseshoes, demonstrating the strength and artistry of this centuries-old trade right before your eyes in our historic shop.

Live Music: Enjoy the festive, authentic sounds of local favorites Greg Dorr & Friends, whose music will provide the perfect soundtrack for a stroll through our grounds.
