Genealogy group to hear “Mary Bloom: A Maine Story of the 1700's and the Green, Hall, and Cobb Families"

Wednesday, March 18, 2026 - 02:00 pmBELFAST — Join the Belfast Free Library and the Wawenoc Chapter of the Maine Genealogical Society on Wednesday, March 18, at 2 p.m., in the Abbott Room of the Belfast Free Library, for a presentation by Belfast genealogist Rick Gatewood titled, “Mary Bloom: A Maine Story of the 1700's and the Green, Hall, and Cobb Families.” Gatewood will speak about his research uncovering a family tragedy and changes amidst the wars between England and France.

The Wawenoc Chapter is the Belfast area’s chapter of the Maine Genealogical Society. It meets monthly on the third Wednesday at the Belfast Free Library. Genealogists of all abilities and skill-levels are encouraged to join.
