Madison Cook will bring fresh ideas and priorities to the Maine Legislature
I’m writing in support of Madison Cook for Maine State Representative. I’ve known Madison since her high school days when our families shared carpools. We’ve followed Madison’s education in architecture at Tulane University and reconnected when she returned home to Waldo County.
Madison is smart, capable, and cares deeply about the needs and concerns of the people in our district.
One look at Madison’s platform tells you she is focused on the challenges facing our community. She advocates for a more equitable property tax system, one where young families and elders on fixed incomes can afford to live in their homes and not be driven away by steep rises in taxes.
She understands the challenges of housing and will take steps to encourage sustainable growth within towns to increase the housing supply without contributing to sprawl. With her architecture background she knows what goes into building new homes, including supporting trades education to engage more people in the industry.
Madison’s youth and energy will bring fresh ideas and priorities to the legislature, so I urge you to join me in supporting Madison in the primary election on June 9.
