Chip Curry is a committed, forceful advocate for the people of Waldo County
In 2022, when we were door-knocking for Get Out the Vote in the final days leading up to the election, an unenrolled voter told us she rarely voted, and almost never for Democrats, but that this election she would be voting for Chip Curry. He had come to her door earlier and had stayed for a half hour answering her questions but mostly just listening to her concerns. We were not surprised to hear this. Whether it’s attending a local play, a community concert, an opening, a dedication, or a rally, Chip is everywhere, always in support of his constituents, always listening. To many of us, he is not just a politician but a friend and neighbor.
Chip, since his first months in the Maine Senate, has been a committed, forceful advocate for the people of Waldo County and the issues that most impact them. He has sponsored and co-sponsored legislation to increase access to broadband, support beleaguered volunteer fire departments, strengthen rural EMS service, mitigate the threat of PFAS (forever chemicals) in farmlands, and improve our schools and our adult education programs. As Chair of the Senate Housing and Economic Development Committee he has been a driving force behind bills to promote affordability, fund housing development and strengthen our emergency shelter system.
For his compassion, his steadfast energy, his commitment and his wealth of experience we will be voting in November to re-elect our District 11 Senator, Chip Curry.
