CAMDEN — One hundred eighty three sailors ranging from 10 to 18 years old from the New England region set sail in Camden as part of the U.S. Sailing Regional Junior Olympics on July 17-18.

BELFAST — The first full day of the 13th annual Maine Celtic Celebration got off to a blistering start Saturday, with temperatures hovering around 90 degrees. 

New website designs are in place for seven area schools and three local school districts, while a new website URL has been established for an island school. 

LINCOLNVILLE — ILincolnville’s 26th annual Strawberry Festival and parade took place Saturday, July 13, and was one sure way to get the whole town to turn out.

BELFAST – The 24th annual Arts in the Park took place July 6-7, with hundreds of visitors browsing a wide array of artistic offerings. 

By 1 p.m., Thursday, July 4, most of the parade revelers had retreated to shadier terrain after the annual Thomaston Parade.

The Jazz in June Festival, held in Camden June 14-16 at multiple venues throughout town, was a big hit, and Photographer John Steele captured much of it with his camera.
