Wayne A. Duguay, obituary
ST. GEORGE — Wayne A. Duguay, 68, passed away Thursday, September 11, 2025, at the home he shared with this beloved wife, Nancy.
Born in Rumford, August 16, 1957, Wayne grew up in Mexico, Maine, the son of Pearly and Arlene Allen Duguay. He graduated from Mexico High School in 1975 and began his working career as a Union Carpenter. He later moved to the Maine State Prison, where he worked his way up from corrections officer to Sergeant.
On July 25, 1987, Wayne married Nancy Coulombe in Rumford. Together they have made their home in St. George where they have made many lasting memories. Wayne’s number one priority in his life was his family. Spending time with his son and two grandsons, who were the loves of his life, was something he never missed. You could often find them in the woods scouting for deer and turkey or on the water fishing for white perch. He was an avid outdoorsman, experienced and skilled hunter and could slay fish with the best of them. Whether on the boat in the summer or the ice with his snowmobile, Wayne loved to be outside. He was proud to have built his camp in Island Falls with his brothers-in-law and son.
Camp became home and was his ‘go-to’ place. Sitting in the screen house, having a cold one with his loved one’s by his side, made him the happiest man alive. He was a simple man, who loved the simple pleasures in life.
Predeceased by his daughter, Jennifer Rose Duguay, and a brother-in-law, John Grant; Wayne is survived by his wife, Nancy Duguay of St. George; his son, Kurt Duguay and his wife Cassie of Waldoboro; his grandsons, Tristan and Bennett of Waldoboro; his sister, Jody Grant of Mexico; and his brothers-in-law whom he considered his brothers, Richard, Roger, Donald and their families; as well as a large loving extended family.
Waynes family has chosen to remember his life privately. To share a memory or condolence with them, please visit their Book of Memories at www.bchfh.com.
Arrangements are in the care of Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home, Rockland.
