Foreign Auto Rendezvous revs up at Transportation Museum, Sept. 20-21
Foreign Auto Rendezvous, the Owls Head Transportation Museum’s annual salute to the beauty, craftsmanship, and history of foreign automobiles, returns Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 20 - 21, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., each day.
This two-day event invites automotive enthusiasts, families, history buffs, and curious visitors from across Maine and beyond to explore an array of international imports—from rare classics to custom builds. Set against the backdrop of the museum’s historic runways, visitors can expect a full schedule of interactive fun and hands-on learning:
● Exhibitor Car Show — Featuring a diverse collection of foreign classics, customs, and vehicles of special interest, all 20 years or older. Exhibitors can pre-register for priority placement, plus enjoy free admission for themselves and one passenger
● Science & Industry Center — Engage young minds with educational, science and technology activities.
● Ground Vehicle Demos & Vintage Car Rides — Get up close with motion—both on the ground and behind the wheel in ride-along opportunities.
● Open-Air Café, Gift Shop & Picnic Areas — Delight in outdoor dining and browsing in a picturesque setting.
● Full Museum Access — Take advantage of free entry into all indoor exhibits to deepen appreciation of transportation history

Visitors can also enjoy antique aircraft demonstrations (weather permitting), and even purchase 20-minute scenic biplane rides for a truly unique sky-high experience.
The museum offers free, on-site parking, including accessible spaces near the main entrance.
Car clubs and associations are invited to participate or plan meetings during the weekend—great opportunities for rallies or group outings.

Founded in 1974, the Owls Head Transportation Museum is a nonprofit educational organization with a mission to collect, preserve, exhibit and historic aircraft and ground vehicles significant to the evolution of transportation for education. Unlike static displays, the vast majority of OHTM’s collection is operational. The museum also offers a variety of hands-on volunteer opportunities as well as STEM-based (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) programs to young students and schools in our new SCIENCE & INDUSTRY CENTER.
