Two Belfast residents arrested following High Street drug bust
BELFAST — Two arrests were made following the Aug. 5, execution of a search warrant on High Street, according to a media release from Belfast Police Chief Robert Cormier.
Members of BPD arrived at the residence at 77 High Street around 10:40 a.m., resulting in the two felony arrests.
After investigation, Belfast Police Department obtained and executed a search warrant in an effort to locate illegal drugs at the residence. Following the search warrant, two individuals were arrested for felony drug charges and violation of court orders.
Those arrested include: Richard Brown, 77, of Belfast, and Raymond Brown, 23, also of Belfast.
Richard Brown has been charged with felony possession of schedule C drugs, and was released on $1,000 personal recognizance bail. He is scheduled for arraignment Oct. 8.
Raymond Brown has been charged with: felony possession of schedule C drugs, criminal trespass, and violating condition of release. Raymond Brown is scheduled to be arraigned Sept. 17.
Both arraignments are scheduled for 8:30 a.m. in Waldo County Superior Court.
The investigation will be continuing and additional charges are pending.
