Theatre Nouveau announces next production
Theatre Nouveau's next production takes three of Henrik Ibsen's iconic leading women and places them in prison where they have been incarcerated for crimes against society that specifically implicate women. In this world of "speculative fiction," the three women must re-encounter their pasts in order to make difficult existential decisions. The play, though set primarily in imaginary, contemporary times, relies on flashbacks, which draw on scenes from Ibsen's originals.
The cast features Beverly Mann (Nora Helmer), Christine West (Mrs. Alving), Lisa Stathoplos (Hedda Gabler), Cory Burns (Torvald Helmer, Pastor Manders and Judge Brack) and Nate Marx (George Tesman and Oswald Alving). Written and directed by Suzanne Ramcyzk.
