The Rockland Public Library and the Midcoast Poetry Calendar present a poetry reading, Thursday, July 10, at 6 p.m., in the Reading Room. This event is free and open to all.

This special event celebrates the release of volume 1 of the Midcoast Poetry Journal, a collection of poems by twenty-five Midcoast poets. Local poets, including members of the Rockport and Thomaston public libraries' Poets' Corner groups and organizers of the Midcoast Poetry Calendar, have shared their work in this new publication, which is currently seeking submissions for its second volume.

The public is invited to enjoy readings by the contributing poets in the library's Reading Room. Copies of the journal will be available for purchase at the event.
