2nd Annual Camden-Rockport Food Garden Tour, Sept. 5 and 7
Camden-Rockport has a lively network of food gardeners, according to CamdenCan, in a news release. Discover the vibrant gardens on a free community tour, Sept. 5 and 7, 2025. This is CamdenCAN’s second annual tour celebrating local food, ecological resilience, and shared abundance.
Thirteen home gardens and local farms, with very different food garden concepts, will be open for the public to view, gather ideas and share knowledge.
Explore these spaces designed not only to feed people, but to regenerate soil, support pollinators, and nourish local wildlife.
Many of the gardens will have demonstrations and/or site tours that the public will find on CamdenCan's interactive map.
Beedy Parker, a longtime gardener and a Camden-Rockport Food Garden Tour originator, is passionate about growing our food locally.
“I’ve seen food prices soar and many people cannot afford healthy food," said Parker. "We need home food producers more than ever. Neighbors helping neighbors can make a big difference today and with the coming challenges of climate change.”
Beedy will have her gardens open and also will host Scrap Dogs, a local composting company.
The goal of the Camden-Rockport Food Garden Tour is to connect with gardeners and your neighbors and together, grow toward a future rooted in sustainability, food security, and strong community relationships.
The tour will be over two days, September 5 and 7, 2025 and is free of charge.
