Garden on a Ledge, A Palette in Bloom
Built atop a rocky ledge, this very special garden rests on yards of topsoil brought in to create meadowland and perennial beds that bloom all summer. A colorful variety of annuals is planted each year among steadfast perennials, so that the garden is ever-changing, always a different palette of color.
Another ledge bed at the side of the house, especially loved by deer, is filled with wildflowers that brighten the meadow. There is a garden view from every window of the house from May to November. The garden is meant to be joyful, a palette of variety and color with endless themes for painting.
The retired owners are a talented combination of artist and chef. They are fearless gardeners as they change floral color combinations each season. It is the most welcoming, positive, and happy garden you can imagine. If you are lucky, you will get to meet their beloved dog, Spencer.
Be sure to join Camden Garden Club for the 77th Garden Tour. It is the highlight of the summer, an innovative tradition that you will not want to miss. Go to camdengardenclub.org to secure your tickets and learn more about the Tour.
