A special event celebrating the release of volume 3 of the Midcoast Poetry Journal, a collection of poems by Midcoast poets, will be held Thursday, May 21, at 6 p.m., at Rockland Public Library.

Local poets, including members of the Rockport and Thomaston public libraries' Poets' Corner groups and organizers of the Midcoast Poetry Calendar, have shared their work in this new publication.

The public is invited to enjoy readings by the contributing poets in the library's Community Room. An open mic session will follow. Copies of the journal will be available for purchase at the event.
