SEARSMONT — Noah Fishman brings a trio for his concert debut at "Live Outside the Library" on Saturday, Aug. 29, at 4 p.m.
"Playing 'achingly beautiful' and energetic original songs as well as traditional music for this concert, Noah brings with him a diverse musical background as a performer, composer/arranger, and multi-instrumentalist," said a Library news release.
The trio will feature Clara Rose, a fiddler from Vancouver currently living in Boston, and Emily Troll, accordionist/fiddler who also plays in the Pine Tree Flyers. As a group project this summer, they are placing an emphasis on improvisation, exploration, and sounds borrowed from the worlds of jazz, Nordic traditional tunes, and chamber music.
If the weather cooperates, the concert will be out on the lawn of the Community Center (37 Main Street South); bring your camp chair or a blanket, according to the Library. If the weather is inclement, the concert will be held in the Community Room.
'Live Outside the Library' is made free to the public through the generosity of the Onion Foundation, the Friends of Searsmont Library, and fundraising by the library Board of Trustees.
