Motorcycle rider in Montville transported by Life Flight, State Police seek witnesses
A motorcycle rider in Montville was transported to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor by Life Flight of Maine, Aug. 22, after a an unconscious male in serious medical condition was located near the intersection of South Mountain Valley Highway and Hogback Mount Road.
Maine State Police (Central Field Troop & Troop K) were alerted to the single-occupant motorcycle crash at 7:03 a.m., where they were assisted on scene by Montville Fire and Rescue (who were first on scene) and the Maine State Police Crash Reconstruction Unit.
The incident is still under investigation and speed has been determined to be one of the primary causes for the crash, according to MSP, in a news release.
"We are asking for anyone who witnessed the crash to contact Cpl. Dan Grenier at 207-624-7076 x 9," said MSP.
