On Wednesday, Aug. 27, from 5 to 6:30 p.m., the Jackson Memorial Library, in Tenants Harbor, will host “Midcoast Poetry Journal Readings.” 

Celebrating the release of the Midcoast Poetry Journal’s inaugural volume, the event will feature local poets sharing their work. The journal’s first edition features poems written by 25 Midcoast poets, including members of the Thomaston and Rockport public libraries’ Poets Corner groups.

Copies of the journal will be available for purchase at the event, which is free and open to the public.
